| Bio: | Born in Cornwall, Michael Craze began his acting career on stage as a teenager before breaking into TV with a starring role in the successful British TV series Target Luna in 1960 — an interesting precursor to Doctor Who as it was created by Sydney Newman and co-written by Malcolm Hulke. Craze eventually ended up as part of the Doctor Who family between 1965-66 as companion Ben Jackson, appearing alongside both the First and Second Doctors. He continued to work steadily in film and TV up to the late 70s, when he mostly retired from acting to run a pub. He was also a familiar and much-loved face on the Doctor Who convention circuit until his untimely death in 1998. | Links: |
