AD 3000. The Earth is locked in a second Ice Age. With the landscape frozen solid, the Doctor and his companions from the TARDIS seek refuge at a science station where an ionizer battles the big freeze. But after a perfectly preserved body is found embedded in the ice, the battle against the cold turns into a war of the worlds. For the frozen being is Varga, leader of the Martian Ice Warriors, who came to Earth during its prehistoric Ice Age. And once Varga frees the rest of his battalion from the ice, they will resume their mission: total conquest of Earth. Now the Doctor must find a way to put Varga’s plans in the deep freeze for good.
