| Bio: | Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Wendy Padbury first came to public notice in the mid-60s when she finished runner-up in the nationwide talent contest Search for a Star and joined the cast of long-running UTV soap Crossroads. Then in 1968, she was cast as mathematical genius Zoe, travelling companion to the Second Doctor, a role she retained until the end of Patrick Troughton era. Post-Doctor Who, her acting CV includes the 1971 Hammer Horror film Blood on Satan’s Claw alongside Anthony Ainley and a 1987 guest stint in Emmerdale Farm alongside Frazer Hines. She also worked as a theatrical agent with Doctor Who alumni Nicholas Courtney, Colin Baker and Mark Strickson among her clients. | Links: |
