| Bio: | English comedienne and actress, born Catherine Ford in Bloomsbury, London. Started her acting career in the early 1990s with TV appearances in The Bill and Men Behaving Badly before turning her hand to stand-up comedy in 1996. Got her big break in 2004 with her own BBC2 vehicle The Catherine Tate Show which most memorably featured teenage character Lauren and her catchphrase “Am I bovvered?” Added another string to her bow by being cast as the Tenth Doctor’s co-star Donna Noble in the 2006 Doctor Who Christmas special The Runaway Bride, which then led to Donna becoming the Doctor’s full-time travelling companion for the entire fourth series of the programme in 2008. | Links: |
