In July 2007, this DVD was one of 8 discs re-released in the UK with different cover artwork (in all cases, the discs and their contents were unchanged). The other DVDs which received the same treatment were Spearhead from Space, Genesis of the Daleks, The Hand of Fear, Earthshock, The Five Doctors, Revelation of the Daleks and The Movie.

Cover blurb:
London 1963. The first Doctor is forced to leave Earth, after two teachers from his granddaughter’s school discover the TARDIS, disguised as a police box, sitting in a junkyard...

London 1963. The seventh Doctor returns — with new companion Ace in tow and with unfinished business.

Not for the first time, unusual events are unfolding at Coal Hill School and at Totters Lane junkyard. The Doctor discovers that his oldest foes — the Daleks — are on the trail of hidden Time Lord technology. Technology that he himself left behind on Earth all those years ago. The Daleks are planning to perfect their own time-travel capability, in order to unleash themselves across all of time and space. Can the Doctor — with the help of the local military — stop the Daleks stealing the Gallifreyan secrets? Or are things much more complicated?

Two opposing Dalek factions meet in an explosive confrontation, with the fate of the entire Universe at stake...

Cover blurb:
London 1963. The first Doctor is forced to leave Earth after two teachers from his granddaughter’s school discover the TARDIS, disguised as a police box, sitting in a junkyard.

London, 1963. The seventh Doctor returns — with his new companion Ace — to tackle some unfinished business.

Once again, unusual events are unfolding at Coal Hill School and Totters Lane junkyard. The Doctor discovers that his oldest foes, the Daleks, are on the trail of hidden Time Lord technology — technology that he himself left behind on Earth all those years ago. The Daleks are planning to perfect their own time-travel capability in order to unleash themselves across all of time and space. Can the Doctor, even with the help of the local military, stop the Daleks from stealing Gallifreyan secrets? Or are things even more complicated?

Two opposing Dalek factions meet in an explosive confrontation with the fate of the entire Universe at stake!

Note:  This release is encoded in NTSC (US TV) format, unlike the other Australian releases, which are in PAL (European TV) format. This is due to difficulties clearing certain music on the Region 2 release for use outside the UK, hence the US version was used (which uses different background music for the scenes in question). This may cause the signal from the DVD player not to be displayed properly on some (older) TVs.

Cover blurb:
