It was a shame to see her go, it truely was. It was a great way to end her time on the show and though it may seem that to me her departure was a sad one and a very sorry one for the show, she soon reappeared in the new series alongside the 10th doctor. I was glad to see her return and this story is a must for any Dr Who fan around. You must get this if yopu have not already, it truly stands out as one of the very best alongside Robot and the Massacre of Mandragora.
This story i favoured by myself for so many reasons. I love this story because ever since i was little, i have sat through it avidly and listened to it tentativly. I love the fact the daleks despise one another for what Davros has done to them. The settings brill, taking the Doctor back to the school from the Unearthly child. I particularly liked Sylvesters portrayal as the timelord as he was a very dark and mystrious character, i thought. I liked it from beginnig to end and to buy it on DVD would have to be a must for myself because i already have two versions on video and i do not want to ruin my cassetss so it would be great to have on DVD!
Im getting annoyed with what 2 Entertain have to offer at times. I loved the Five Doctors. This story was one of my all time favrouites and i will tell you for why. I am a great fan of John Pertwees Doctor, he always had a certain charm that that i loved about him. Patrick Troughton was comedic and highly entertaining and i also think that the story fitted nicely between Peter Davisons run as the Doctor. Plus, brilliant scenes of the Raston warior who the cybermen clearly had no chance in defeating. The use of the dalek i felt had a huge impact on the 1st Doctor who at times was not hi self but at some times portrayed the character like the original once had. All in all, i enjoyed it and is one that belongs in my collection.
This story resembles one I have watched before. I had long before perchased Horror of Fang Rock and thought it to be fantastci! I must say that this book must be- in some sort of fasion a sequel of sorts. I must admit that Rose comes to life like the Doctor does and that the setting is as believable as any but i felt that the beginning was a tad overwhelming. I loved it though, took me along time to read through but I got there in the end! Fantastic!
Ah, The Sting of the Zygons....Twas an interesting read to say the least. In other words I enjoyed it immensly. I love the use of language and the fact that Marthas skin was mentioned to give the reader some sort of insight into what it was like in those day when people had not known a black person to do niether this nor that, and her reaction to that is as good as any.
The Doctor here is on top form yet again, I do believe the writers have a knack for his character better than Ecclestons. David Tennant is just how the Doctor should be, charismatic, overwhelming at times and generally a know all of whats going on-occasionly.
The charcters are massivly impressive, steven Cole gives each and every one of them one of thier very own back stories that often relate to whats going on. Even the Cows- Suspect them at all costs. (By the way- that may have been a SPOILER!)
The Settings brill, the Zygons are as though they havent changed over the many years and the book itself stands up the television series superbly!
What a fantastic read, i only bought this a couple of days ago and i can tell you, it was worth the cost. The charcters were true to form and the dialougue was brill. The plot became something more in what was made from all the chaos going on but it was true delight.
Marthas amazing, she and the Doctor are on top form here and this only goes to proove that the classic series, mixed with the new series have not changed that much over the years, thats for sure!
You have got to read this book, its a must for any Dr Who fan and would certainly add to your collection, no dought! It certainly sits well amoungst my collection!
this book is griping and very exciting. i hope justin richards'other books are as good

Absolutely brilliant, would love to see what the new series could do with the shape-changing Zygons, should they ever make a televised appearance like the Sontarans from the comic strip medium.

I loved this audio and I think it was completely well realised. Lots of unexpected turns. McCoy was pretty good in this one too.
I'm a huge Dr Who and Torchwood fan, and generally enjoy the spinoff novels. However, this one wasn't so great at all. For one, the Amok storyline was absolutely great, but wasn't the actual plot for this. That kinda threw me a little. Second and most inpactfully, was this "James" guy. Now, I hate Gwen enough as it is for her infidelity, but this was just too much. Even if he is just a red-shirt or an alien imposter, he was just the straw that broke this camel's back. Give me a story where the Torchwood team deals with the Doctor's aftermath anyday.

Excellent book - lots of twists and turns to look out for. The Doctor plays a minor role, so it should appeal to many Sci-Fi readers, who haven't yet latched on to Doctor Who.
You must read this book it is great even if you are not a Dr Who fan
This book is good i liked it.Quiet gripping,If you have this book read it next.....

The Web Planet is a bit odd. On one hand it is a great mixture of new monsters (and a lot of them too!), but on the other it is a poorly put-together piece. Several things instantly spring to mind (i.e. the Zarbi crashing into the camera, and the rubbish Larvi Guns), but overall the world of Vortis is done well.
Overall, The Web Planet is a mixed bag of goodness and rubbish.
The 1st Doctor.Who book I ever read was this The price of paradise. Its brill and 10/10
This is also another 10/10 book. Mike Tuker had improved from The Nightmare on Black Island.

I am going to start with a digression. Of all the actors to have played the Doctor, only Paul McGann could have hit just the right tone on the "What the Hell" line in Part Four. This may not sound like much, but it is actually crucial to what makes "The Last" effective. "The Last" is one of the few stories that fits McGann's portrayal of the Doctor. First, it is perhaps the grimmest of all the Big Finish productions, grimmer even than "Spare Parts." Like "Spare Parts," it has a gloomy inevitability about it. Our heroes have walked into the land of the dead, and there is no escape. Though some here have complained of a "reset button" ending, this ending is actually very well prepared for, and is necessary for thematic purposes of the whole divergent universe story arc. The desperate story works with the McGann Doctor because of his vulnerability, because his is the most "human" of the Doctors. His seemingly emotionless performance is really the right choice, the behavior of a man beaten down by grim, existential fact - the stupidity of total war, selfish preservation instinct run wild, a political leader whose egotism runs beyond comprehension, and the inevitability of death. Timeblind, bereft of friends, impossibly far from home, he finds just living a greater and greater burden without any subsequent reward. So, his "What the Hell," is just the final testament of a man who finds mere existence to be without the slightest pleasure.
There are some problem spots in the story. Excelsior is just a little too crazy in an over-the-top-old-movie kind of crazy. The rocket's magical return to exactly the same spot where it took off also makes little sense given the nature of celestial mechanics.
In general, though, this production is well done.
