 | Doctor Who - Series 3: Volume 2 |
|
 | | |
Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks - Underrated Classic
The Lazarus Experiment - A fairly run-of-the-mill 'mad scientist' story
42 - A poor take on '24'
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 3: Volume 1 |
|
 | | |
Smith and Jones - Fast, furious and funny a perfect introductory story
The Shakespeare Code - A poor history lesson
Gridlock - An important story for S3. Underrated.
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - The Runaway Bride |
|
 | | |
The Runaway Bride - A expensive christmas cash-in, guest-starring 'Catherine Tate'
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 2: Volume 5 |
|
 | | |
Fear Her - Like 'The Idiots Lantern', a rushed filler episode
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday - In one word, 'Overrated'
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 2: Volume 4 |
|
 | | |
The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit - The best episodes in S1
Love and Monsters - Well, in a nutshell, if 'David Tennant' didn't have enough time to hardly be in the episode, it shouldnt've been made
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 2: Volume 3 |
|
 | | |
Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel - Superb story but a little slow
The Idiot's Lantern - Rushed, just put in just to put the episode count up (Quantity doesn't always mean quality)
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 2: Volume 2 |
|
 | | |
Tooth and Claw - A smashing little adventure
School Reunion - A bit rushed and silly
The Girl in the Fireplace - Overrated
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 2: Volume 1 |
|
 | | |
The Christmas Invasion - Drags on a bit but not bad
New Earth - Underrated
Before I review the set, just a quick word on the back cover of Time-Flight - poor job (2/10). The font is changed for no reason in the synopsis text, and the special features box has two 'Coming Soon trailer' captions.
Onto the product. I will review in numbers;
Time-Flight - 4/5
Arc of Infinity - 5/5
Special Features - 4/5
Overall - 4/5

It's pretty good and very clever. These BF people do think of some great ideas. Only problem for me is that one of the characters sounded too MUCH like Brian Blessed in Trial of a Time Lord? Was that intentional? It's so uncanny! Was it him in disguise?!

 | Doctor Who - Series 1: Volume 4 |
|
 | | |
Boom Town - Return of the dreaded 'Slitheen'. Boo
Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways - Return of the 'Daleks'. Hurray!
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 1: Volume 3 |
|
 | | |
The Long Game - Mediocore story saved by 'Simon Pegg'
Fathers Day - Fantastic and original.
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances - The scariest in this set. Written by the brilliant 'Steven Moffat'.
 | | |

 | Doctor Who - Series 1: Volume 2 |
|
 | | |
Aliens of London/World War III - A poor two-part story with a rather run-of-the-mill plot of aliens taking over the world.
Dalek - Much improved and in my opinion the best of the series.

 | Doctor Who - Series 1: Volume 1 |
|
 | | |
Rose - A delightfull little episode introducing all the main characters and the plot of the show. Like a 45-minute trailer. Not bad.
The End of the World - Silly but entertaining 'whodunnit' set and a spaceship in the year 5,000,000,000.
The Unquiet Dead - The scariest of the set but a bit slow in places.

<<<< HERE BE SPOILERS >>>>
A character jumps off a train and at the same time tells Nyssa that she should jump because he'll catch her. The Doctor lands his TARDIS inside another version of his TARDIS creating the same paradox as in Legopolis, except ... no paradox this time. Not quite as good as many others. I'm baffled by the ending, which I will kindly not reveal
The title says it all. Don't bother.

The Slyther pretty much ruined this story. It wasn't really needed, and even if it was they could have spent SOME money on it. I mean, it's as if they spent minus £ on it!
Otherwise, a great story, well written with a good ending.

A good idea that didn't come out well on screen. The opening episode is imaginative (and good considering it was done at short notice and made with no money) and the idea of how to make up for Frazer Hines' chickenpox is also good, but otherwise this gets boring after a while, especially with Zoe not ever realising that some things in the Land of Fiction (i.e. Medusa) aren't actually real!
A bit silly, really.

This has to be the best DVD we've had so far. It has 8 brilliant episodes, all of which are needed, a variety of brilliant extras (including the very good 'Evolution of the Invasion'), and the animated episodes (1 & 4) are great also.
