Note: Spin-off annual from the short-lived early 70s weekly comic TV Action (previously known as Countdown), which featured strips from a host of TV shows: The Persuaders, Hawaii Five-O, Mission: Impossible, Dad’s Army, plus of course Doctor Who (hence its inclusion on this site). The Who content in this annual was an 8-page comic strip entitled “The Hungry Planet”. This was the last of 3 such annuals: the 2 previous were Countdown Annual 1972 and Countdown for TV Action Annual 1973. The history of this short-lived but fondly-remembered comic was chronicled in the 2014 book Countdown to TV Action. Cover blurb:
