Note: Spin-off annual from the short-lived early 70s weekly comic Countdown (which by late 1972 had been temporarily renamed Countdown for TV Action, before becoming just TV Action). The comic featured strips from a range of cult TV shows: mainly Gerry Anderson productions (Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO), but also The Persuaders, Hawaii Five-O, plus of course Doctor Who (hence its inclusion on this site). The Who content in this annual was a 7-page comic strip titled “Ride to Nowhere”. Preceded by Countdown Annual 1972 and followed by TV Action Annual 1974. The history of this short-lived but fondly-remembered comic was chronicled in the 2014 book Countdown to TV Action. Cover blurb:
