I have read a few books by Dan Abnett and this is my favorite so far! Great story with a classic villain/ ally of the doctor. Great conceptual classic sci-fi with a brilliant ending!

I loved this book. To have a truly exceptional monster from the classic series with all the up to date cast was great. The story was well written with a certain va va voom. The writer clearly knows his Doctor who as the dialogue of the Doctor was fantastic and you can really see him saying these phrases on the box. Great start, middle and end with alot of twist in the tale. A true Who book without a doubt and will not disappoint.

The Silent Stars Go By is the second in its format in which a "known" author makes an attempt to write a who novel.Dan Annett does not disappoint he writes The Tardis Trio perfectly and handles the encounter with The Ice Warriors perfectly.I hope one day 11 faces the Ice Warriors on T.V but at the time of writing this is the closest we are going to get.
