Cover blurb: “I got planning permission to open a museum ... but that was about all I got ... and that was to come back to bite me a bit! Well a lot!!!" NEIL COLE is a multi-media artist and lifelong science-fiction fan. After studying Physics, Art and Music, NEIL spent three decades teaching and painting before conceiving, building and opening THE MUSEUM OF CLASSIC SCI-FI in Allendale, Northumberland. NEIL’s art alternates between sculptural, painting and drawing, all vital skills he deploys when restoring fragile sci-fi props and creatures that make up the museum collection. He has recently written his first book IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM: SEARCHING FOR TREASURES FROM CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO (2024). He has written for DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE, restored a prop for the BBC’s classic DOCTOR WHO - THE COLLECTION Blu-ray range and has appeared on both Netflix and Channel 5. NEIL is interviewed by SOPHIE ALDRED at SCI-FI MONSTERS LIVE, held at The Queen’s Art Centre, Hexham in 2025.
