Cover blurb: BARBARA CLEGG started out as a theatre actress and then won the role of NURSE JO BUCKLEY in EMERGENCY WARD 10 (1957-67). After starting a family she gave up acting and turned to writing, contributing episodes for WAGGONER’S WALK and THE DALES (MRS DALE’S DIARY) on the radio and for CORONATION STREET, CROSSROADS and TOGETHER on television. Her dramatisation of JOHN WYNDHAM’S book THE CHRYSALIDS was broadcast on radio in 1981. When BARBARA was commissioned by ERIC SAWARD to write ENLIGHTENMENT, she became the first woman to write for DOCTOR WHO and for the TARGET novelisations. In this MYTH MAKERS, we talk to Barbara about her career and writing for DOCTOR WHO. We also feature extracts from two story outlines she submitted that were never made... one of which POINT OF ENTRY is soon to be written by MARC PLATT and released as an audi [sic] drama by BIG FINISH.
