| Bio: | Born in Scunthorpe, West Yorkshire, Jodie Whittaker first came to notice as an actor when she co-starred alongside Peter O’Toole in the 2006 comedy-drama Venus. In the years following, she amassed memorable roles in the TV series Black Mirror and Broadchurch and the film Attack the Block, before in 2017 it was announced with great fanfare that she would be the first-ever female actor to play the title character in Doctor Who. After three full series playing the Doctor, she departed the show in late 2022. | Links: |
