Cover blurb:
STORM WARNING
A Four Part story written by Alan Barnes and directed by Gary Russell
October, 1930. His Majesty’s Airship, the R101, sets off on her maiden voyage to the farthest-flung reaches of the British Empire, carrying the hopes and dreams of a breathless nation.

Not to mention a ruthless spy with a top-secret mission, a mysterious passenger who appears nowhere on the crew list, a would-be adventuress destined for the Singapore Hilton... and a Time Lord from Gallifrey...

SWORD OF ORION
A Four Part story written and directed by Nicholas Briggs.
Trapped aboard a mysterious, derelict star destroyer, the Doctor and Charley find themselves facing summary execution. But this is only the beginning of their troubles. The real danger is yet to be awakened. Until somewhere in the recesses of the Garazone system, the Cybermen receive the signal for reactivation.

THE STONES OF VENICE
A Four Part story written by Paul Magrs and directed by Gary Russell.
The Doctor & Charley decide to take a holiday, and end up in Venice, well into Charley’s future, as the great city prepares to sink beneath the water for the last time. However, the machinations of a love-sick aristocrat, a proud art historian, the amphibian underclass and a rabid High Priest of a really quite dodgy cult combine to make Venice’s swansong a night to remember.

INVADERS FROM MARS
A Four Part story written and directed by Mark Gatiss.
Manhattan, Halloween 1938. On the eve of Orson Welles’ infamous radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds, The Doctor is embroiled in the hunt for a missing Russian scientist whilst Charley finds herself at the mercy of a very dubious Fifth Columnist. With some genuinely out of this world ‘merchandise’ at stake, the TARDIS crew are forced into an alliance with the sultry dame called Glory.

BONUS DOCUMENTARY
written and compiled by Ian Farrington and presented by Nigel Fairs. An in-depth documentary which takes a look at the making of Storm Warning, Sword of Orion, The Stones of Venice and Invaders from Mars.

Note:  As far as I am aware, this is the only time to date that Big Finish have produced a product specifically for the US market. Apart from the different packaging design, it appears that Invaders from Mars is not part of this box set, while Minuet in Hell has been added instead. Despite the prominent number “1” on the cover (showing that Big Finish were hoping to make this first in a series), sadly no further such Eighth Doctor box sets were released.

MINUET IN HELL
A four-part story written by Alan W. Lear & Gary Russell and directed by Nicholas Briggs

Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart has been invited to Malebolgia, North America’s newest sovereign state where the charismatic Brigham Elisha Dashwood III is running for governor.

With Charley at the mercy of the infamous Hell Fire Club, a patient in Dashwood’s medical institution claiming to travel through time and space and demonic forces gathering, the Brigadier could really do with the Doctor’s help. But which Doctor?

Bonus Documentary
Written & compiled by Ian Farrington and presented by Nigel Fairs. An in-depth documentary, which takes a look at the making of the stories. Actors, writers, producers and directors reveal behind-the-scenes secrets, discuss production problems and recount all the fun and frolics encountered during these explosive four stories!
