| Bio: | English actress, born in Birmingham and trained at RADA (the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London). In 1963, she was cast in Doctor Who as schoolteacher Barbara Wright, one of the Doctor's travelling companions for the first two seasons of the programme. Shortly after leaving Doctor Who, she retired from acting for over 10 years to raise a family. Upon her return, she contributed a supporting role as Lexa in the 1980 Doctor Who story Meglos — the first (and practically the only) time when one of the Doctor's companions returned to the programme to play a different role. | Links: |
